In an era of evolving security threats, international collaboration is fast becoming a critical pillar in strengthening national policing and intelligence systems.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Thursday received a delegation from the Chinese Embassy led by Ambassador Yu Dunhai during a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting underscored growing bilateral relations between Nigeria and China, with both sides exploring avenues to deepen cooperation in security, capacity building, and intelligence sharing.
During the engagement, the IGP highlighted the importance of sustained partnerships with global allies in tackling emerging security challenges.
He noted that such collaborations are essential in boosting the operational efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force, particularly in an increasingly complex security landscape.
The visit also served as a platform to reinforce mutual commitments towards enhancing safety, knowledge exchange, and strategic support between both countries.
The development signals a broader push by Nigerian authorities to leverage international partnerships in strengthening internal security architecture and improving policing outcomes.
