Troops Rescue 50-Year-Old Farmer After Zamfara Kidnap Attack
Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued a 50-year-old farmer, Mallam Ibrahim Suleiman, following an attack on farmers in Dutsen Maru Community, Maru District, Zamfara State.
The rescue followed a distress call on 26 October, which prompted troops to mobilise swiftly and intercept the suspected kidnappers as they attempted to withdraw from the area.
The operation also led to the recovery of three motorcycles and a donkey belonging to the affected farmers.
However, the search is continuing for other people still unaccounted for after the attack, with troops maintaining their presence in the area to secure their safe return.
The operation highlights the importance of rapid military intervention in protecting rural communities and farmers from kidnappings and other security threats.
