Mrs Onyiriuka, who revealed this while reacting to the comments credited to Engr. Nwaeze in newspaper publications, said that the Assa North Host Communities Trust awarded the contract to Engr. Gideon Ikechukwu Nwaeze, Chairman, Gingord Integrated Nigeria Limited, adding that it is among the eight (8) Contractors handling the electricity projects in the four oil host communities.

The BOT Chairperson noted that the contract was categorized into two, TDN Installation and TDN Procurement. The contractors for TDN Installation are: Assa- Gingord Integrated Nigeria Limited; Obile – Chika Row Global Ltd; Ochia – Karisto Industrial System Ltd; Awarra – Cxiditech Works & Services. While those for TDN Procurement are: Assa- Vicjul Bliss Resources Ltd; Obile – John Assanco Global Company; Ochia – Rojanic Royal Energy; Awarra – Eze Appiti & Sons Company.

The Chairperson further said that a contract award letter duly signed by her and the Secretary of the board, Hilary Eze, was issued to Gingord Integrated Nigeria Limited for the job.

The letter addressed to the Managing Director of Gingord Integrated Nigeria Limited, dated December 17, 2025, which bears the title, “Town Distribution Network-Installation at Assa Community”, read, “We are pleased to inform you that your company, Gingord Integrated Nigeria Limited, has been awarded the contract for the Town Distribution Network-Installation at Assa Community, Imo State. This decision is an outcome of a comprehensive evaluation bid process and the recommendation of our management committee.

“Kindly confirm your acceptance of the award on your letterhead, assuring the trust of your intent to undertake the project at the approved value not later than 14 days from the date of receipt of this award letter. “We will provide the contract document for sign off and schedule a kick off meeting to discuss the project timeline and other necessary details to ensure seamless execution in line with the scope of work.

On the claim that he sunk the sum of N50 million into the project the moment he got the award letter to start, Mrs Onyiriuka said that it was not true, as the company was properly mobilized for the job.
