NUJ FCT Celebrates Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara At 59

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory Council, has joined well-wishers across the country to celebrate Rt. Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara as he marks his 59th birthday.

In a goodwill message issued in Abuja, the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Grace Ike, praised Hon. Betara’s resilient, humble and people-centred leadership, describing him as a parliamentarian whose service continues to uplift both his constituents and the Federal Capital Territory.

Hon. Betara, who has represented the Biu, Kwaya Kusar, Bayo and Shani Federal Constituency since 2007, currently chairs the House Committee on the Federal Capital Territory. Over the years, he has championed improved budgetary allocations and infrastructural projects that have positively shaped the lives of FCT residents.

Comrade Ike highlighted his philanthropic work, including the provision of medical equipment, empowerment programmes for women and young people, and support for vulnerable communities.

She noted that key projects, ranging from health centres and street lighting to ambulances and sports facilities, reflect his unwavering commitment to development and social welfare.

“As Hon. Betara marks this milestone, we celebrate a leader whose dedication to unity and national progress remains exemplary,” she stated.

The NUJ FCT Council wished him continued strength, wisdom and good health in the years ahead.
