This sentiment was at the heart of Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke’s message as he congratulated Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) recently promoted with effect from 1 September 2025.
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) said each promotion strengthens the NAF’s strategic intelligence, operational resilience, and commitment to service.
“With every promotion, we build a smarter, more resilient, and more dedicated Air Force,” Air Marshal Aneke declared, describing the exercise as a defining moment for both individuals and the institution.
He stressed that the 2025 NCO promotion was conducted transparently and merit-based, reflecting the Service’s dedication to professionalism and discipline.
The Air Chief urged the newly promoted personnel to see their elevation not just as recognition but as a call to higher responsibility.
“Promotion is not just about rising in rank; it is about rising to greater expectations,” he said. “You have earned this through hard work and sacrifice; now is the time to give even more to your country and to the Service.”
Reaffirming his leadership philosophy rooted in motivation and mentorship, Air Marshal Aneke noted that morale and training remain key to mission readiness.
He said a well-equipped and inspired force translates into sharper operations and smarter decisions, adding that NAF’s ongoing reforms aim to balance training, welfare, and career progression to nurture the next generation of military leaders.
As the new ranks take effect, the Air Chief urged the personnel to wear them with humility, responsibility, and renewed dedication, embodying the spirit of professionalism, patriotism, and purpose that defines the Nigerian Air Force.
