The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the promotion of 52 senior officers, including 19 Air Vice Marshals (AVMs) and 33 Air Commodores (Air Cdres), following the approval of the Air Force Council.

This decision underscores the Council’s commitment to recognising excellence, professionalism, and dedication within the ranks of the NAF.

Among those promoted to the rank of AVM are Osichinaka Ubadike, Olusola Akinboyewa, Olasunkanmi Abu, and 16 others, while 33 Group Captains, including Nkechi Esionye-Uzodinma and Abang Oyong, were elevated to Air Commodores.

These officers have been lauded for their exceptional leadership and contributions to the NAF’s operations and administration.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, congratulated the newly promoted officers, emphasising that their new ranks come with heightened responsibilities.

He urged them to remain steadfast in advancing the NAF’s mission of safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

A decoration ceremony to celebrate the officers’ achievements will be held soon, with family, friends, and colleagues expected to join in marking this milestone.
