NAF Airstrikes Crush Terrorists in Shiroro, Niger State

In a decisive move against criminals in Shiroro LGA, Niger State, the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, launched a successful airstrike on September 11, 2024. The operation, part of Operation WHIRL PUNCH, targeted terrorists in Bassa following a request for air support.
Over 100 terrorists were spotted engaging friendly forces. NAF carried out precision strikes, neutralising dozens.
As at the time of filing this report, 28 bodies had been recovered, with ongoing clearance of more terrorists, weapons, and motorcycles.
A statement by the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force, Group Captain Kabiru Ali, said this operation reaffirms NAF’s commitment to protecting Nigeria, working alongside other security agencies to combat terrorism and banditry.
