Soludo Backs Iloenyosi For South-East NFF Board Seat
Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo has endorsed the bid of Anambra State Football Association chairman, Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi, for the South-East seat on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee.
Soludo said Iloenyosi’s experience as a former Super Eagles defender and football administrator puts him in a strong position to represent the region effectively.
The governor pledged the full support of the Anambra State Government, saying the South-East needs a stronger voice in the administration of Nigerian football.
Iloenyosi, popularly known as “D’General”, is campaigning on stronger regional representation, grassroots development and better opportunities for football stakeholders across the zone.
He was recently returned unopposed as chairman of the Anambra FA, further strengthening his position within the state’s football community.
Soludo said the endorsement was about more than Iloenyosi’s personal ambition, describing it as an opportunity to strengthen Anambra and the wider South-East’s influence in Nigerian football.
“I have confidence in his ability to represent us effectively. We will stand with him, encourage him and give him every legitimate support required to pursue this ambition,” the governor said.
The endorsement gives Iloenyosi significant backing as he seeks to secure the South-East position on the NFF Executive Committee.
