AIBEN Property To Host 4th NUJ FCT Football Tournament In 2026
AIBEN Property has pledged to host the 4th edition of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council Football Tournament, set for 2026.
The announcement came from AIBEN’s Managing Director, Andy Elerewe, during a courtesy visit by NUJ FCT Chairperson, Grace Ike, and her team in Abuja.
Elerewe praised the tournament’s role in uniting journalists, security agencies, government bodies, and the private sector through sport.
As title sponsor, AIBEN will once again provide its Maralago Sports Complex on the Kubwa Expressway as the venue. “This tournament is more than just football – it’s about networking, team building, and fostering camaraderie,” Elerewe said, even promising to play on the pitch himself.
Grace Ike commended AIBEN’s unwavering support, recalling the company’s backing since the tournament’s early days under the Correspondents’ Chapel.
Meanwhile, the 3rd edition kicks off from 18–23 August 2025 at the Area 3 and Area 10 Football Fields, with teams from FRSC, NPF, NIS, NCS, FHC, NDLEA, SWAN, NAF, NUJ, and AIBEN Properties competing.
The draw and press briefing will hold on 12 August at the NUJ Secretariat in Utako.
