At a time when porous borders continue to fuel insecurity and cross-border crimes, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has received a major boost from the House of Representatives, with lawmakers pledging stronger legislative support to reinforce the nation’s border security architecture.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to tighter border control during a working visit by the House Ad-hoc Committee on Border Security to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The Committee Chairman Hon. Isah Mohammed Anka, who led the delegation assured the Police of the House’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at deploying modern technology, improving welfare for border personnel, and providing specialised training for officers of the Border Patrol Force.
