Christmas: LAJA Urges Ndi Anambra To Uphold Unity, Compassion and Responsible Celebration
The spirit of Christmas, beyond festivities, offers a moment for reflection on shared values and collective responsibility.
The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) has called on Ndi Anambra, at home and in the diaspora, to embrace unity, compassion and tolerance as they celebrate Christmas.
In a Christmas goodwill message jointly signed by its Interim President, Ikenna Okonkwo, and Interim Secretary, Princess-Ekwi Ajide, the association described Christmas as a season that embodies love, sacrifice, peace and renewed hope for humanity.
LAJA urged Anambra people to draw strength from the enduring values that have sustained them over the years, noting that unity, resilience and selfless service remain defining traits of the Anambra spirit.
The group also commended the industrious nature of ndi Anambra, whose enterprise, innovation and commitment to excellence continue to contribute significantly to the development of Anambra State and Nigeria at large, despite prevailing economic and social challenges.
Reaffirming its role as journalists of Anambra extraction based in Abuja, LAJA pledged continued commitment to responsible, ethical and development-driven journalism, with a focus on promoting truth, peace, accountability and positive narratives about the state and the nation.
The association further encouraged residents to celebrate responsibly, support the less privileged and pray for sustained peace, security and prosperity in Anambra State and across Nigeria.
LAJA expressed hope that the Christmas season would bring renewed optimism, strengthen communal bonds and usher in a New Year of greater opportunities, unity and progress for Ndi Anambra.
