RAPNEC NG Seeks Stronger Collaboration On Road Safety and Substance Abuse Prevention
In a country where road accidents and substance abuse continue to claim lives daily, experts are warning that the solution lies in stronger partnerships and sustained awareness campaigns.
The Road Accident Prevention Network Centre (RAPNEC NG) has called for closer collaboration with the media and critical stakeholders to promote road safety and curb substance abuse in Nigeria.
Speaking during a meeting with Voters Africa TV and Africa Women TV in Abuja, RAPNEC NG’s Managing Director/CEO, Prince Ogu, stressed the importance of collective effort in saving lives.
“We commend the effort of Voters Africa TV and Africa Women TV and look forward to working with agencies such as FRSC, NDLEA, ISSUP, NURTW, RTEAN, and others to create a safer environment,” he said.
Also speaking, Mr Samaila Vangawa, MD/CEO of Voters Africa TV, noted that media participation remains crucial in raising awareness and influencing behavioural change in both road safety and substance abuse prevention.
RAPNEC NG, a non-governmental organisation, has consistently advocated for safer roads and healthier lifestyles, stressing that partnerships across media, government, and civil society are key to reducing fatalities and harmful practices.
