The Benin Zonal Directorate of the Commission announced the arrest of 92 suspected internet fraudsters in Edo State following a sting operation carried out on Monday, 29 September 2025.
According to EFCC, the coordinated raids were conducted across different locations in Benin City, after credible intelligence linked the suspects to computer-related crimes.
Items recovered from the suspects include 11 vehicles and several mobile devices believed to have been used in fraudulent activities.
The Commission disclosed that preliminary investigations tied the suspects to various forms of internet fraud. They will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
