As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, the President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union (RATTAWU), Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu, has called on members of the union and Nigerians at large to recommit themselves to the ideals of unity, progress, and shared purpose.

In his Independence message, Comrade Kalu extended warm greetings to RATTAWU members, describing them as the heartbeat of media and cultural work in the country.

He urged Nigerians to reflect on the values that bind the nation together and embrace diversity as a strength.

“Let us recommit to building a nation where every voice is heard, every dream nurtured, and every individual thrives in an atmosphere of peace and opportunity,” he said.

The union leader further called on citizens to work tirelessly for justice and equality while upholding the ideals of freedom that define Nigeria’s nationhood.

He concluded his message with a prayer: “Happy Independence Day! May God bless our union, our nation, and every one of you.”
