NAF Intensifies Air Strikes To Secure Kwara Communities
Insecurity thrives when hostile groups believe they can move freely. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is determined to prove otherwise.
On Sunday, 28 September 2025, NAF’s Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma carried out multiple coordinated missions across Kakihun, Oke-Ode, Babanla and nearby settlements in Kwara State.
The sorties included reconnaissance, close air support and surveillance flights designed to deter threats, protect communities, and reinforce ground troops.
Hostile elements sighted east of Babanla were decisively neutralised, while intelligence gathered during the missions is expected to aid ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF’s spokesperson, said the operations reaffirm the Air Force’s commitment to air superiority, territorial defence and the protection of civilians.
He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and supportive of the Armed Forces, assuring that decisive actions will continue until lasting peace is restored.
