NAF Reaffirms Commitment To Peace On International Day Of Peace
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has joined the global community in marking the 2025 International Day of Peace, themed “Act Now for a Peaceful World.”
In a statement, the Force emphasised that peace extends beyond the absence of conflict, noting it also means fostering harmony, cooperation and compassion.
While its core duty remains safeguarding Nigeria’s airspace, NAF said it continues to play wider roles in deterring aggression, supporting humanitarian operations and promoting regional stability.
The Force further highlighted its international collaborations, joint exercises and partnerships, which it described as key in building trust and contributing to global peace and security.
Beyond military operations, NAF stressed its commitment to nurturing a culture of peace through community empowerment, dialogue, and strong civil-military relations anchored on respect and protection of civilians.
It reaffirmed its dedication to promoting peace, unity and understanding, adding that “a safer, more harmonious world is possible when we act together.”
