Relief For North-East Communities As NAF Strikes Neutralise Over 25 Terrorists
Residents in Bula Yobe and Banki, Borno State, are breathing a sigh of relief after the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) neutralised more than 25 terrorists in a decisive night operation.
The strike, carried out on 18 September 2025, followed intelligence reports from ground troops who had tracked the movements of armed groups threatening the area.
Surveillance aircraft monitored the terrorists before strike aircraft launched three precision attacks on their routes and assembly points.
Post-strike assessments confirmed the terrorists had been neutralised, with ground troops holding their positions and no further threats detected.
For many families in the North-East, where attacks have long disrupted farming, schooling, and daily life, the operation brings hope of greater safety and stability.
Communities in the Bula Yobe, Banki axis say the action has restored a sense of calm, reinforcing trust in the efforts of security forces to protect them.
NAF, in a statement, reaffirmed its commitment to working with ground forces to secure lives and ensure that insurgents no longer threaten local communities.
