NAWOJ FCT Hails Stella Din Jacob’s Historic Appointment As First Female Executive Director, News at NTA
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, has congratulated Stella Din Jacob on her trailblazing appointment as the first female Executive Director, News, of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
In a statement signed by Chairperson, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, and Secretary, Comrade Nkiruka Okeke, NAWOJ FCT described the appointment as both a recognition of Stella Din Jacob’s professionalism and a groundbreaking milestone for women in media leadership.
The association praised Jacob as a trailblazer whose career has been marked by excellence, innovation, and integrity, noting that her leadership has consistently promoted inclusivity, balanced reporting, and gender equity within the newsroom and beyond.
“Her appointment affirms that women can rise to the highest levels of leadership in the media industry.
Stella Din Jacob has broken barriers before, and we are confident she will continue to inspire generations of women,” the statement read.
