Tinubu Urges Africa’s Next Generation To Lead With Courage
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Africa’s youth to rise boldly and help build a united, peaceful and prosperous continent.
Speaking through the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, at the 25th Anniversary of the Millennium Excellence Prize in Kumasi, Ghana, Tinubu urged young Africans in science, technology, governance, and the arts to shape the future with purpose.
He said Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Agenda is focused on transforming lives, driving inclusive growth, and strengthening regional integration.
Praising the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for hosting the event, Tinubu hailed the Millennium Excellence Foundation for 25 years of celebrating African excellence.
He commended the Foundation for honouring icons like Desmond Tutu, Wole Soyinka, Cyril Ramaphosa, and Mo Ibrahim.
Odumegwu-Ojukwu accepted the Lifetime Africa Achievement Prize on Tinubu’s behalf.
According to a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Communication and New Media to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Magnus Eze, other honoured Nigerians included Dr Benedict Oramah (AFREXIM), Governor Umo Eno, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, and Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs.
