Nigerian Army Takes Sanitation Drive To Onitsha Communities

Troops of the 302 Artillery Regiment and 14 Field Engineer Regiment, as part of their civil-military cooperation efforts, carried out a major cleanup in Onitsha South LGA, Anambra State, on Saturday, 10 May 2025.

The soldiers led by Commander Colonel Adamu Muhammad, cleared refuse and unblocked drains across 11 neighbourhoods including Mbonu Ojike Street, Fegge, and Nimo Street to promote public health and prevent flooding during the rainy season.

Colonel Muhammad said the exercise reflects the Army’s commitment to community well-being and urged residents to maintain clean surroundings.

Grateful locals applauded the military’s support and proactive gesture.
