Nigerian Military Strikes Hard Against Terror, Crime and Oil Theft
It has been a week marked by intense operations and tactical victories, the Nigerian Armed Forces have once again demonstrated their resolve in dismantling terrorist networks and criminal enterprises threatening national security.
From the dusty plains of the Northeast to the creeks of the Niger Delta, troops, alongside hybrid forces and security agencies, unleashed a wave of coordinated assaults, leaving terrorist cells disrupted and criminal syndicates in disarray.
The Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Markus Kangye, noted between March 10 and 20, the military neutralised scores of terrorists, arrested dozens of collaborators and violent extremists, and rescued several kidnapped victims across multiple theatres.
Kangye who interacted with journalists in Abuja said in the South South, troops under Operation DELTA SAFE thwarted illegal bunkering activities valued at over N461 million adding that they discovered and destroyed dozens of illegal refining sites and seized over 445,000 litres of stolen and illegally refined products.
