IGP Egbetokun Highlights 2024 Achievements, Sets Strategic Agenda for 2025

The Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, has showcased its impressive 2024 scorecard during a strategic year-end conference held in Abuja.
In an address to senior police officers, Dr Egbetokun celebrated the Force’s strides in crime reduction, which included the arrest of 30,313 suspects, the recovery of 1,984 firearms and 23,250 rounds of ammunition, and the successful rescue of 1,581 kidnapped victims.
He attributed these successes to the unwavering dedication of officers and the growing trust between the police and the public.
The IGP outlined a forward-thinking plan for 2025, with a focus on technological innovation and modern policing strategies to tackle emerging security challenges.
He urged officers to embrace these advancements to enhance their effectiveness.
During the festivities, the Nigeria Police Force reassures citizens of its commitment to ensuring safety and security nationwide.
With a renewed focus on collaboration and accountability, the IGP emphasised, “We are prepared to adapt, innovate, and build a safer Nigeria for all.”
