Following severe flooding in Borno State, the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has launched a critical medical outreach to assist Maiduguri residents.
The orders from Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, saw NAF units in Maiduguri providing medical care and essential relief materials to those affected.
The outreach offers free medical consultations, medications, and insecticide-treated mosquito nets.
Families also received food and clean water supplies. In one notable case, a woman who gave birth the night before is receiving specialised care from the NAF medical team.
This effort, in collaboration with NEMA, SEMA, and the North East Development Commission, aims to prevent disease outbreaks and protect vulnerable groups, including women, children, and the elderly.
A statement by the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force, Group Captain Kabiru Ali, the NAF is committed to sustaining the outreach for as long as needed to ensure the health and safety of the community.
