Nigeria, UK Deepen Security Ties As IGP Disu Joins Defence Dialogue In Abuja

As security threats become increasingly complex and transnational, Nigeria and the United Kingdom are strengthening cooperation to bolster regional stability and national security.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, joined other Service Chiefs on Monday at the 4th UK-Nigeria Security and Defence Partnership Dialogue held at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in Abuja.
The high-level engagement brought together senior security and defence officials from both countries to discuss key areas of collaboration, including counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing, capacity building and other strategic measures aimed at tackling emerging security challenges.
The dialogue reaffirmed the commitment of Nigeria and the United Kingdom to deepening bilateral security cooperation and enhancing joint efforts to promote sustainable peace, national security and regional stability.
The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by both nations to strengthen strategic partnerships in response to evolving global and regional threats.
