FCC Boss Hails Customs CG Adeniyi On Tenure Extension
The extension of the tenure of the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has continued to attract commendations, with the Federal Character Commission (FCC) describing the move as a reward for outstanding leadership and service to the nation.
Executive Chairman of the FCC, Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, on Monday congratulated Adeniyi on the extension of his tenure by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the decision reflects confidence in his ability to sustain reforms and strengthen the operations of the Nigeria Customs Service.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Omidiran said Adeniyi’s stewardship had been marked by notable achievements in accountability, transparency, trade facilitation, revenue generation and border security, which have contributed significantly to Nigeria’s economic growth and national development.
She noted that the Customs boss had demonstrated professionalism and commitment to service delivery, while also advancing government policies through efficient operations and innovation.
According to the FCC Chairman, the tenure extension is a testament to the progress recorded under Adeniyi’s leadership and the trust reposed in him to drive further reforms within the Service.
Omidiran wished the Customs chief wisdom, good health and greater success as he begins another phase of service, expressing confidence that his continued leadership would bring lasting benefits to Nigeria’s growth and prosperity.
