Anambra Police Foil Kidnap Attempt In Neni, Rescue Three Victims
Police in Anambra State have successfully foiled a kidnap attempt in Neni, rescuing three victims — including a couple — and recovering a stolen vehicle. The swift intervention by officers from the Neni Divisional Headquarters came after a distress call was received at about 8:45pm on 3rd May 2025, near Okacha junction.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the joint security team, which includes the military, civil defence, and vigilantes, has intensified efforts to track down the fleeing suspects. The assailants escaped using a black Lexus 350 SUV (Reg. No. ABJ 557 LD) snatched from one of the victims.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, praised the prompt response and urged residents to stay vigilant and support ongoing efforts to keep the state safe.
