NAF Invites Youths To Shape Future Air Operations Through CAS Literary Competition
In a bold move to harness youthful creativity and forward-thinking ideas, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has called on Nigerian youths to take centre stage in shaping the future of air operations through the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Literary Competition.
The 2025/2026 edition of the competition, which began on 21 November 2025 and runs until 28 February 2026, is designed to promote youth advocacy, innovation and critical thinking around emerging technologies and national security.
It provides a unique platform for young Nigerians to contribute ideas capable of strengthening modern airpower and enhancing operational effectiveness.
Initiated by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the competition features three categories, Essay, Art and Poetry, allowing participants to explore the theme, “Optimising Emerging Technologies for Enhanced Air Operations,” through analytical and creative expression.
According to the NAF, the initiative goes beyond competition, aiming to deepen youth engagement, foster innovation, and strengthen civil-military relations by positioning young Nigerians as active stakeholders in national security and technological advancement.
Interested participants are encouraged to consult the official flyer for submission guidelines, eligibility criteria and other requirements.
