Christmas: RATTAWU President Calls For Love, Peace and Compassion Across Nigeria
At a time when the nation yearns for unity and hope, the President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union (RATTAWU), Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu, has urged Nigerians to embrace the true spirit of Christmas by spreading love, peace and kindness.
In a Christmas goodwill message, Comrade Kalu, who also serves as Vice President of UNI-MEI, extended warm wishes to RATTAWU members and Nigerians, reminding them that the season symbolises compassion, unity and the birth of Jesus Christ, a message the world still needs today.
He called on RATTAWU members, as media and creative professionals, to remain guided by the essence of the celebration, stressing that Christmas should inspire responsible conduct, empathy and service to humanity.
The RATTAWU President also encouraged Nigerians to reach out to the needy, downtrodden and vulnerable, noting that genuine celebration lies in sharing love and giving hope for a better tomorrow.
According to him, the season should break barriers of hate and rekindle joy, peace and goodwill among citizens.
Comrade Kalu further appealed to government at all levels to ensure a safe and secure environment for peaceful Christmas celebrations across the country.
The message was signed by the National Publicity Secretary of RATTAWU, Comrade Izang Francis Atsen.
