FRSC Boss Hits the Road As Festive Rush Triggers Tougher Traffic Enforcement
With end-of-year travel pushing Nigeria’s highways to their limits, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has taken a proactive stance to curb chaos and save lives.
The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, has intensified nationwide highway monitoring, extending his on-the-spot assessment to Kaduna after a similar intervention on the Abuja-Lokoja highway that swiftly eased traffic congestion.
In Kaduna, the Corps Marshal personally supervised traffic operations, reinforcing strict adherence to road safety regulations.
Enforcement teams heightened surveillance along major routes, resulting in the arrest of several motorists for overloading and other traffic violations.
The extended monitoring underscores the Corps Marshal’s hands-on leadership and zero-tolerance approach to traffic infractions, particularly during the festive season when road crashes typically spike.
Motorists have been strongly advised to obey traffic rules, shun overloading and cooperate with officers on duty, as sustained compliance remains vital to reducing crashes, saving lives and ensuring safer highways nationwide.
