FRSC Promotes 10,005 Personnel
In a major boost to career development within the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Corps has promoted more than 10,005 officers and marshals in what is being described as one of the largest promotion exercises in its history.
The 2026 exercise, supervised by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, saw 3,597 Intermediate Rank Officers and 6,408 Junior Officers participate through a technology-driven process designed to ensure transparency, fairness and merit-based advancement.
FRSC said modern ICT platforms were deployed across its 12 Zonal Commands to eliminate bottlenecks, improve efficiency and provide equal opportunities for all eligible personnel.
Observers from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Federal Character Commission monitored the exercise to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
A key highlight was the inclusion of personnel pursuing academic and professional studies abroad, who participated remotely through digital platforms without disrupting their programmes.
The Corps described the exercise as a reflection of its commitment to staff welfare, professionalism and institutional reforms, noting that the initiative reinforces confidence in the promotion system while rewarding diligence, competence and excellence.
FRSC added that the successful exercise underscores its ongoing drive towards building a modern, technology-driven workforce capable of delivering safer roads and improved service to Nigerians.
