Tinubu Hails Rescue Of 100 Niger Students, Orders Immediate Action On Remaining Hostages
President Bola Tinubu has applauded Nigeria’s security agencies for securing the release of 100 students abducted from Papiri Catholic School in Niger State, but warned that the nation cannot rest until every last child is safely returned.
In a statement from the State House, the President expressed relief over the students’ return and urged security operatives to intensify efforts for the swift rescue of the remaining 115 students and their teachers still in captivity.
He assured parents that the Federal Government and the Niger State authorities are working closely to reunite all abducted children with their families.
“I rejoice with Governor Umar Bago and commend our security agencies for their steadfast work since the unfortunate incident on November 21,” President Tinubu said, adding that all kidnapped Nigerians must be accounted for.
He further directed security forces and state governments to take decisive steps to prevent future school abductions, stressing that children must never again be left vulnerable to “heartless terrorists” disrupting their education.
