Northern Christian Community Backs Soludo’s Re-election, Urges Road Construction In Amansea
In what signals growing grassroots support ahead of the November 8 governorship election, the Northern Christian community in Anambra State has endorsed Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for a second term, citing his inclusive leadership and visible development across the State.
The endorsement, made during a special service at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Amansea, saw community leader Mr Daniel Ibrahim Balami declare unanimous backing for Soludo’s re-election bid.
He said the group’s decision was driven by the Governor’s “people-focused policies” and tangible progress in infrastructure, education, and youth empowerment.
Balami, however, appealed to the Governor to prioritise the construction of the 3-kilometre Amansea–Ugwu Oba Road, describing it as a vital link for local trade and social integration.
Similarly, the President of the Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State (ANIAS), Prince Chigozie Nweke, reaffirmed the association’s support, revealing plans to mobilise its over 250,000 registered members to vote for Soludo.
He lauded the Governor for appointing non-indigenes into key government positions and extending the “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative to benefit all residents, noting that such inclusivity has strengthened unity and opportunity across the State.
