Nigeria Felicitates With Botswana On Independence Anniversary

As Botswana marks another year of nationhood, Nigeria has extended warm congratulations to the southern African country, lauding its record of peace, democracy, and development.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveyed best wishes to his Botswana counterpart, Dr Lemogang Kwape, on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Ambassador Tuggar described Botswana’s enduring legacy of stability and socio-economic progress as a source of pride for Africa.

He also reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in trade, education, governance, innovation, and continental integration through the African Union and other platforms.

The ministry praised Botswana’s commitment to good governance and sustainable development, noting that stronger collaboration between the two nations would further advance prosperity and stability across the continent.
