Court Adjourns Suspended Senator Natasha’s Cybercrime Trial To October 20

The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the cybercrime trial of suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan until 20 October 2025.

Senator Natasha, who represents Kogi Central, is standing trial over alleged offences bordering on cyberstalking and related cybercrime charges brought against her by the Federal Government.

At Monday’s sitting, the presiding judge postponed proceedings after taking arguments from both the prosecution and defence.

The reasons for the adjournment were not immediately made public, but court officials confirmed that the matter will continue in October.

The senator, suspended earlier this year following the charges, has repeatedly denied wrongdoing, insisting that the case against her is politically motivated.

Her legal team is expected to file fresh applications ahead of the resumed hearing.

The case has continued to attract public attention, with civil society groups and political watchers closely monitoring developments.

The adjournment sets the stage for what is expected to be a heated legal battle next month as both sides present their arguments.
