With the win, NAWOJ FCT successfully retained the trophy, cementing its reputation as defending champions of the keenly followed competition.
Chairperson of NAWOJ FCT, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, hailed the victory as a product of teamwork, discipline, and determination.
“The spirit of unity in our team shows that when women rise, we excel. We are proud to retain this trophy for the second time and grateful to the NUJ-FCT leadership under Comrade Grace Ike for the platform and support,” she said.
She also commended the Council Secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, the NUJ-FCT Executive Committee, and the Sports Committee led by Comrade Ndubueze Chidoka for their role in organising a successful tournament.
