FRSC Trains Patrol Leaders To Tackle Corruption, Promote Civility On Roads

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched a major capacity-building workshop for all Patrol Team Leaders across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as part of renewed efforts to eliminate corruption, strengthen professionalism, and restore public trust in road safety operations.

The training, approved by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, aims to reposition the Corps as a model of civility and discipline.

Speaking at the opening session, Mohammed stressed that every patrol leader must serve as an ambassador of integrity, warning that unethical conduct will no longer be tolerated.

“Every patrol team leader must be an ambassador of civility and integrity; anything less is unacceptable,” he declared, adding that the training will be cascaded nationwide to ensure uniform standards of accountability across all commands.

Assistant Corps Marshal Hyginus Omeje and Corps Public Education Officer, ACM Olusegun Ogungbemide, also addressed participants, underscoring the need for courtesy, discipline, and protection of the Corps’ image.

According to the Corps, the initiative goes beyond training—it represents a cultural shift aimed at producing officers who lead by example and guarantee safer, more orderly roads for Nigerians.
