NAWOJ FCT Chairperson Celebrates Super Falcons’ Historic WAFCON Victory
The Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, has congratulated the Super Falcons on their remarkable 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title win.
In a heartfelt message released after the final whistle in Rabat, Morocco, Comrade Bassey praised the team’s resilience and determination as they came from behind to defeat host nation Morocco 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at the Princ
“The Super Falcons’ performance tonight reflects the unwavering Nigerian spirit strong, determined, and victorious,” she said. “They’ve made the entire nation proud and inspired millions of young girls across Africa.”
Describing the win as a victory for all Nigerian women, she emphasised the importance of continued support and investment in women’s football.
“As Chairperson of NAWOJ FCT, I join over 250 women journalists in celebrating this golden moment. You are our champions, and we salute you,” she added.
