A Nigerian journalist, Livinus Chibuike Victor, has made history by breaking the world record for the longest-ever interview marathon.

Livinus surpassed the previous record of 55 hours and 24 seconds, which was held by fellow Nigerian Chizoba Clara Kronborg in Spain last year. His new goal? An incredible 72 hours and 30 minutes of non-stop interviews.

The record-breaking attempt began on Friday, April 17, and is set to end on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Harrow Park Golf Club in Abuja.

With the theme “Nigeria, Our Strength,” Livinus says the marathon is more than just a personal challenge—it’s a way to promote press freedom and celebrate the resilience of Nigerians.

Supporters and well-wishers have been cheering him on as he edges closer to making it into the Guinness World Records. Presently stands at 68 hours, 30 seconds.

Livinus Chibuike’s determination is a shining example of how passion, perseverance, and purpose can make headlines.
