In a bid to reform Nigeria’s policing system through continuous learning, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has launched an Advanced Facilitators Training Programme in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the GS Foundation.

The initiative, structured in two sessions is hosted at the National Institute of Police Studies (NIPS), Abuja.

Declaring the training open, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, represented by CP Rashad B. Afegbua, emphasised that capacity building is key to modern policing.

The programme is designed to equip top-performing officers with advanced instructional skills, enabling them to train others and foster a sustainable learning culture within the Force.

The UNDP and GS Foundation were recognised for their vital support in making the programme a reality, reinforcing the NPF’s commitment to professionalism, excellence, and effective service delivery.

As policing challenges evolve, the Force continues to invest in its personnel, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle contemporary security demands in Nigeria.

With initiatives like this, the NPF is not just enforcing the law but also building a smarter, more skilled police force for a safer Nigeria.
