Nigeria has unveiled the 2025 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP), a $900 million initiative aimed at delivering lifesaving aid to 3.6 million vulnerable people in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States.
The plan targets women, children, and persons with disabilities, prioritising those most affected by conflict and displacement.
Speaking at the launch, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Mohamed Fall applauded donors, partners, and the Nigerian government for their support but urged greater private sector and government involvement to bridge funding gaps.
He reaffirmed the United Nation’s commitment to easing human suffering and building resilience in affected communities.
With 7.8 million people in urgent need, the success of the HNRP depends on sustained global and local support.
