NUJ FCT Chairman, Grace Ike, Hosts DICAN Leadership in Courtesy Visit

In a collaborative meeting between the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Chapter, and the Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Nigeria (DICAN), both parties emphasised the importance of transparency, accountability, and collaboration in achieving shared goals.
The courtesy visit, led by DICAN Chairman, Idehai Frederick, marked a milestone for both organisations in fostering unity and promoting a positive image of Nigeria.
The NUJ FCT Chairman, Grace Ike, welcomed the DICAN delegation, reiterating the importance of partnerships among media professionals.
She emphasised that active participation, transparency, and accountability remain key to the success of any association. “We must lead by example, ensuring our actions reflect the values of integrity and collaboration. Together, we can create a stronger union and a better Nigeria,” she noted.
Frederick Idehai commended Grace Ike’s leadership, describing her as a symbol of hope and progress.
He highlighted the incorporation of DICAN as a significant achievement and stressed the need for inclusivity in decision-making. “Leadership is about inspiring collective action. By prioritizing transparency and building trust, we can achieve a lasting impact,” he remarked.
Both leaders agreed on the need to project Nigeria positively on the global stage while supporting initiatives that strengthen the journalism profession.
