A delegation from the Association of Former Members of Staff of the Bank for Investment and Development of ECOWAS (AAMPB) met with the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Omar Touray, in Abuja, Nigeria.
The delegation led by President of AAMPB, Mensan Amégavie, and Advisor, Jean Milas N’Guessan, introduced the Association, established in 2018, to bridge the gap between former EBID staff and current officials.
Amégavie proposed a partnership with the ECOWAS Commission to leverage the wealth of expertise among AAMPB members in addressing regional challenges.
Dr. Touray applauded the initiative, emphasising the importance of collaboration to overcome obstacles to West Africa’s development. “West Africa is a family; we are only strong when we are together,” he stated, encouraging AAMPB to share insights for better regional management.
The meeting underscored ECOWAS’ commitment to fostering partnerships that drive integration and economic growth across the region.
