Good Kiddies Marks Cultural Diversity Season 3, …Urges Parents To Teach Children Igbo Language

Good Kiddies World of Entertainment Limited, has held Season 3 Cultural Diversity at Imo State Council for Arts and Culture, Mbari, Owerri, amid fanfare.

The event, which took place last week, had over 22 schools in attendance including Commissioner for Tourism, Hospitality and Culture.

While explaining the Season 3 of the Cultural Diversity as the existence of a variety of cultural or ethnic groups within a society, the Founder said that “cultural diversity is about appreciating that the society is made up of many different groups with deferent interests, skills, talents and needs, to a child in the primary school could mean difference in our ways of life”.

“The differences could be in the areas of marriage, religion, feeding, language, greetings, traditional and so on and so forth”, she stated.

Reflecting on the relevance of cultural diversity, Eziada Chioma added that “culture helps us to be more acceptable and inclusive of others, likewise treating everyone with kindness and respect irrespective of what they look like or where come from”.

She reiterated that “cultural diversity has benefits, it can lead to a better outcome in various aspects of life, fostering creativity, innovation, empathy and social cohesion”.

Eziada Chioma hence called on all and sundry to embrace cultural diversity for inclusive society where everyone has an opportunity to succeed, urging parents to teach their children their native language.

The Founder of Good kiddies, Eziada (Mrs) Chioma Anyanwu Okorie, commended the children for being steadfast, as well as appreciated their parents for providing costumes for them. She also thanked God for a good weather and for making the event a huge success. Just as she commended the Commissioner for Tourism, Hospitality and Culture, the directors of all sectors, Reverend Fathers, especially the sponsor, the judges, Globus Bank, Sliverspring Eyecare Ltd and prayed God to continue to bless them in all their endeavors.

In his speech earlier, the
Commissioner for Tourism, Hospitality and Culture, Barr. Jerry Egemba, who was represented by Mrs. Franker Otuokere, expressed delight over the captivating event and thanked the Founder and the CEO of Good kiddies, for initiating the event, attributing that the event was rich, entertaining and enlightening, encouraging her to keep it up, charging the children to always speak Igbo language, as they emulate good behavior, adding that the Igbo language should be sustained.

Gold Cup was given to First Position, Second Position, Third Position and Fourth Position, Best Costumes were given special gifts, various gift items, including cooking gas, materials, buckets, cups, among other valuables.

The event featured competition on costumes parade by all schools, dancing, languages, games, riddles and other things, while the judges announced results with the children rejoicing home.
