Senator Ndume Pledges Stronger Push For Roads, Education, and Social Development In Biu
Senator Muhammad Ali Ndume has pledged renewed efforts to tackle key infrastructure and social challenges in Biu Emirate, following a high-level meeting with executives of the Biu Forum on 31 July 2025.
During the courtesy visit, forum leaders presented a checklist of pressing issues from dilapidated federal roads to the incomplete Biu Dam project and concerns around the Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB).
Forum Chairman, Alhaji Mai Mustapha Muhammad, thanked the Senator for his consistent support and urged swift federal action on critical roads linking Biu to Numan, Damaturu, Gombi, and Gombe.
The group also called for stronger legislative engagement to protect NAUB and proposed initiatives to empower women, reduce out-of-school children, and improve girls’ education in the Emirate.
Senator Ndume assured the delegation of his full commitment to their demands, noting his close collaboration with Hon. Muktar Betara and former Army Chief, Gen. Yusuf Buratai, as key to driving results.
“We are united in purpose,” he said, “and I will do everything within my power to ensure these issues are addressed.”
The meeting ended with a shared resolve to honour local heroes, strengthen community ties, and fast-track development across Biu.
