NAWOJ Pays Tribute To Late President Muhammadu Buhari
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a disciplined and patriotic leader whose legacy will endure.
In a statement released on Sunday, the National Chairperson of NAWOJ, Hajiya Aishatu Ibrahim, paid glowing tribute to the late statesman, noting that his life of service earned him respect both at home and abroad.
“President Buhari was a symbol of discipline and commitment to national unity,” she said. “His contributions to the growth and stability of our country remain significant and will continue to inspire generations, especially women and young people.”
NAWOJ urged Nigerians to reflect on the values Buhari stood for truth, integrity, and excellence and channel them into building stronger communities and a more united nation.
The association also extended heartfelt condolences to the late president’s family, praying for strength and comfort during this time of loss.
