Nigeria Police recorded a series of operational successes across the country in the last 24 hours, rescuing seven kidnapped victims, arresting suspected kidnappers, armed robbers, cultists and drug dealers, while recovering firearms, ammunition and stolen property in coordinated intelligence-led operations.

According to a police operational update, six kidnap victims were rescued along the Kabba-Ayere Road in Kogi State after security operatives launched bush-combing operations that forced the abductors to flee. In Ogun State, police also secured the safe release of kidnapped engineer Sola Boyeji and recovered another victim’s vehicle.

The operations also led to the arrest of suspected kidnappers in Adamawa and Nasarawa states, the recovery of firearms in Adamawa, Delta, Ebonyi and Edo states, and the arrest of suspected cultists in Delta, Edo and Lagos.

In Akwa Ibom, three suspected drug dealers were apprehended with large quantities of substances suspected to be Indian hemp, while a cattle rustling suspect linked to a murder was arrested in Benue.

The Nigeria Police Force said investigations are ongoing in all the cases, with efforts intensified to apprehend fleeing suspects and dismantle the criminal networks involved.
