Every Mission Must Count, CAS Tells Air Commanders Amid Intensified Anti-Terror Operations
As Nigeria continues to battle insurgency and criminal violence across multiple fronts, the leadership of the Nigerian Air Force has renewed its push for precision-driven and result-oriented military operations.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has charged commanders and senior operational officers to intensify pressure on insurgents and criminal elements, insisting that every mission undertaken by the force must achieve decisive impact.
Speaking during an operational briefing held on 18 May 2026 with Branch Chiefs, Air Officers Commanding, Directors and Air Component Commanders from operational theatres nationwide, the CAS stressed the need for constant evaluation and reassessment of operational strategies.
Air Marshal Aneke also underscored the importance of professionalism and precision in operations to ensure the protection of civilian lives while sustaining mission effectiveness in the fight against insecurity.
The meeting focused on strengthening mission readiness and enhancing operational effectiveness across the country’s conflict zones.
