RATTAWU President Urges Nigerians To Pray For Peace As Christians, Muslims Begin Fasting

As Nigeria’s two major faiths enter a rare moment of spiritual convergence, union leaders are calling for prayer to translate into national healing.

The President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU), Prince Emeka Kalu, has urged Nigerians to offer fervent prayers for peace, unity and renewal as Christians and Muslims commence their fasting seasons simultaneously.

He described the overlap as a divine opportunity for collective reflection, repentance and recommitment to service to God and humanity.

Kalu said fasting should inspire citizens to seek healing for the nation, calling on the faithful to pray for unity across religious and ethnic lines.

He also appealed for prayers for those involved in violence, urging divine intervention to change hearts and steer them towards peace.

Emphasising that Nigeria’s stability depends on moral rebirth and collective responsibility, the RATTAWU president encouraged citizens to embrace compassion, justice and righteousness, expressing hope that the fasting period would usher in lasting peace and national renewal.
