Bespoke Urban Luxury Boosts NUJ FCT Congress Hall With 600 Bags Of Cement
For journalists battling shrinking newsrooms and tight resources, partnerships that strengthen professional spaces are fast becoming a lifeline.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, has received a major boost towards completing its Ultramodern Congress Hall project, following the donation of 600 bags of cement by indigenous firm, Bespoke Urban Luxury Limited.
The first tranche of 300 bags was handed over in Abuja during a brief ceremony supervised by Arc. Junias John Akaito and Kolade Oluwajuwun Olaoye, marking a significant milestone in the Council’s drive to deliver a befitting professional hub for journalists in the nation’s capital.
NUJ FCT Chairman, Comrade Grace Ike, commended the company’s CEO, Dr Christian Olatunji, for standing with the media community and investing in infrastructure that will strengthen journalism practice and professional engagement.
She described the gesture as timely and strategic, noting that the Congress Hall will serve as a centre for training, innovation, welfare coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Representatives of Bespoke Urban Luxury Limited said the intervention was inspired by the critical role of the media in national development and democratic consolidation, adding that the support aligns with the firm’s corporate social responsibility focus on community growth and institutional capacity building.
The NUJ FCT Council renewed its call on corporate organisations, public-spirited individuals and development partners to support the project, which is expected to provide offices, training halls and modern facilities to enhance journalism practice in Abuja.
