Relief For Anambra Road Users As CLO Hails Soludo’s ₦15.9bn 3-3-Nsugbe-Aguleri Dualisation Project
When a bad road becomes a daily nightmare, every promise of reconstruction carries the weight of public hope.
The Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), Anambra State branch, has praised Governor Charles Chukwumah Soludo for awarding a ₦15.9 billion contract for the construction and dualisation of the long-neglected 3-3-Nsugbe-Aguleri road, including a spanning bridge.
In a statement issued in Awka on 15 January 2026 and jointly signed by its Chairman, Evangelist Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, and Secretary, Comrade Chidi Mbah, the rights group described the project as a “landmark democratic dividend” that will significantly ease the suffering of commuters, traders, and residents.
CLO recalled that previous appeals to the Federal Government and former Governor Willie Obiano yielded no result, even as the road’s poor condition continued to cause traffic gridlock, rising transport costs, and economic hardship.
According to the organisation, the completed dual carriageway will cut travel time to Abuja to under four hours, improve the movement of farm produce to urban markets, reduce food prices, decongest traffic, and enhance safety and comfort for road users.
The group commended Governor Soludo’s empathy and decisive leadership, praying for the swift and successful completion of the project.
